Raised on the Vineyard Jim Feiner moved to Marthas Vineyard at the age of 9 when his parents took over the Beach Plum Inn in Menemsha from his Grandparents. It was 1972 and the Vineyard was a quiet and quaint community . After graduating college Jim moved back to the Vineyard with a background in marketing and business and became a real estate agent in 1991. . With a strong interest in the community, Jim has served as a Chilmark Conservation Commissioner for 5 years, as a Housing Committee member for 18 years and has fund-raised for Marthas Vineyard Community Services, for 16 years on the Possible Dreams Auction committee. he also served 2 years on the board of the Island Housing Trust, the premiere developer of affordable housing initiatives on the Vineyard. His devotion to creating affordable housing includes spear heading multiple initiatives to find, purchase and help create opportunities for people in need. An avid kayak fisherman, Jim has paddled all the ponds and around most of the island appreciating the natural beauty. He serves as Chair of the Chilmark trails and byways committee working to keep and improve paths and access for all who love the outdoors. Jims diverse local knowledge, love of the ocean and seashores, and his commitment to preserving the quality of Marthas Vineyard are just a few of the reasons youll enjoy working with him.
